The company was formerly known as Empresa Metropolitana de Obras Sanitarias and changed its name to Aguas Andinas S.A. in 2001. The company was founded in 1861 and is based in Santiago, Chile. Aguas Andinas S.A. is a subsidiary of Inversiones Aguas Metropolitanas S.A.
